It began as a fishing trip with a friend. Within a year, Rick traded a successful career as a Real Estate Broker in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC for the 360 days of sunshine and natural beauty that attracts vacationers, new residents and investors from around the world.
Rick found paradise and quickly decided to make this beautiful destination his new home. Raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, following high school Rick joined Team McLaren on their Indy Team and in 1974 his car driven by Johnny Rutherford, won the Indy 500. Rick has also lived in Vail, Colorado, teaching skiing, Clearwater, Florida in the yachting industry and as a landscape design / build contractor. Relocating to Arlington, Virginia 1994, Rick became VP of a major landscaping firm though seeking a more interesting career decided on real estate and quickly became a top selling real estate Broker as well representing a high-end, custom home builder. To help serve his community, Rick also became a volunteer Firefighter/EMT.
Rick’s commitment to his clients is best illustrated by his completion of the following National REALTORS Association courses: Graduate of REALTOR'S Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), PM PRO Certified Power Marketer. Rick achieved his US Brokers license in 2000 which remains in Active status. Rick holds a Broker’s license by the Secretary of Education of Mexico acknowledging his skills and abilities to sell real estate in Mexico and currently serves as a mentor and agent trainer with Cabo Cribs.
With hundreds of career transactions "My reputation has been built on strong ethics, continuing education and protecting my client’s best interests” says Rick. "I quickly realized my love for real estate was destined to continue in the Los Cabos area where I have lived full time since 2005."
Known as ‘The German Shepherd Guy' you will see Rick and his 8 German Shepherds, Kia, Shadow, Dahlia, Rocky, Drako, Bruin and little bit of mix, Luke and Meeah on the San Jose beaches every morning. Other passions include riding his Harley, off road exploring, cooking, golf, sailing, scuba diving, fishing and hiking.
